Because
Cancer Care
Is About More
Than Medicine

Our Mission
Friends After Diagnosis is a 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of women diagnosed with cancer. It is our hope and vision to see that all women diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones have lives filled with wisdom, wellness, fellowship, and peace.
Our Vision
To that end, we offer support groups, wellness programs, personal services, events, and networking to help survivors feel connected and secure in a community that truly cares. Our inclusive community is diverse, welcoming all ages, stages of life, and belief systems without question.
Cervical Cancer
Awareness Month
Cervical cancer was once a leading cause of cancer death for women in the United States. Today, screening and prevention have greatly reduced the impact of this form of cancer. Still, nearly 14,500 women in the United States received a diagnosis of cervical cancer and more than 4,200 died from the disease last year, according to the National Cancer Institute.

Feelings of isolation after a cancer diagnosis are common, but giving in to those feelings can keep the body from generating the healing energy it needs. In Friends After Diagnosis, survivors help each other, and it’s become an essential part of the cancer care community on the Treasure Coast.
