Friends After Diagnosis

Our Mission

Friends After Diagnosis is a 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of women diagnosed with cancer. It is our hope and vision to see that all women diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones have lives filled with wisdom, wellness, fellowship, and peace.

Our Vision

To that end, we offer support groups, wellness programs, personal services, events, and networking to help survivors feel connected and secure in a community that truly cares. Our inclusive community is diverse, welcoming all ages, stages of life, and belief systems without question.

May is

Melanoma and
Skin Cancer Awareness Month

May is melanoma and skin cancer awareness month. Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States. Melanoma is the third most common type of skin cancer that begins in the melanocytes. These cells give you your skin color. Melanoma may begin as a mole.

Bladder Cancer Awareness Month

Bladder cancer is the second most common urologic cancer in adults. It starts when cells that make up the urinary bladder start to grow out of control. As more cancer cells develop, they can form a tumor and, with time, spread to other parts of the body.

We care
with compassion

Feelings of isolation after a cancer diagnosis are common, but giving in to those feelings can keep the body from generating the healing energy it needs. In Friends After Diagnosis, survivors help each other, and it’s become an essential part of the cancer care community on the Treasure Coast.
