Friends After Diagnosis exists to enhance the lives of survivors primarily through support meetings, education, wellness programming, and the fellowship that these activities foster.Your generous donation covers operational costs, outreach efforts, and other costs related to meetings, wellness programming, and general administration.
Through your support and our partnerships with other organizations, no survivor ever pays to be a part of Friends After Diagnosis. All services, programming and activities are provided to survivors at no cost.

Nothing is more Precious
Than the Gift of Time
Nothing is more precious than the gift of time. Share your gifts and talents with those in need! There are multiple ways to give – select the committee that piques your interest, submit your information and you will hear back from our Volunteer Coordinator.
Community Education
Volunteers in department will help with a variety of community education opportunities to include health fairs, community events, and other outreach efforts. Individuals must be able to carry or ten pounds and be willing to engage the public to provide current information regarding the organization and its services. This team is also responsible for distributing brochures to community partners and area medical practitioners.
Friendly Friends
Volunteers in this department will be responsible for staying in contact with members of the organization to encourage participation in upcoming events or activities as well as those who may be homebound or in treatment. Methods of contact may include phone calls, post cards or emails.
Friends Events
Team members will be responsible for planning and staffing various events throughout the year. They will be responsible for being the liaison between community organizations and area businesses that have committed to fundraising activity to support the organization.
Personal Services
This team is responsible scheduling and completing appointments for wig, bra, and prosthesis fittings. Team members are also responsible for following up with the members.
Special Projects
Members of this team will be responsible for projects such as periodic mailings, membership contact or other tasks that fall outside of the realms of other teams.
Fundraising
Volunteers committed to the fundraising team will solicit sponsors for upcoming events as well as the distribution and collection of donation cannisters throughout the community.
